Minnie Driver was born on 31 January 1970 in Finsbury Park, London, England. She is the daughter of Ronnie Driver, a businessman, and Gaynor Churchward (nee Millington) who is a designer and prior to that, was a couture model. She has an Irish, French, Italian and Scottish ancestry. She is the sister of the model and producer Kate Driver.
Her father’s legal wife was not aware of the fact that her mother was the mistress of her father and that he had another family. She spent her childhood in Barbados and studied in a school near Petersfield, Hampshire, England, named as Bedales School. Then, she attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, in London. She is the mother of a son, named Henry Story Driver.
She started her career in acting from Britain. She appeared on the British television, in shows like ‘Casualty‘, ‘Lovejoy‘ and ‘Peak Practice’, along with the known comedians like Steve Coogan and Armando Lannucci. She starred in ‘Circle of Friends‘ and ‘Good Will Hunting’. She made her appearance for the recurring role in ‘Will & Grace’ as “Lorraine Finster“.
