Since January, the news of Muster reboot has been making rounds of the entertainment world, more for the actor Eddie Izzard’s nod than anything else.
The reboot of the classic vampire series will be known as ‘Mockingbird Lane’, the residential address of the supernatural family.
As for Eddie Izzard, the actor will be seen playing the role of the patriarch of a bunch of bloodsuckers. More than that, his character is reported to have links with multiple ladies.
Quite tempting, isn’t it?
I guess we would get to see another side of the seasoned actor once the reboot hits the screens.
The production plan for the same had been on halt since the beginning of new year, and one of the reasons was Izzard’s unavailability for the grandpa role. In one report, it was said that he couldn’t give the assurance of his commitment for the character because of his tight schedule.
Now that the star has confirmed his availability, it would be safe for us to assume that he is quite free from other professional commitments.
The funny man who compels many fans to catch The Riches episodes online is a master of adapting to bizarre roles, and it takes no explanation why the producers of Musters reboot are hell-bent on pulling him on-board.
The remake of 1960s comedy is touted to a visual treat from the new age viewers, and with someone like Eddie Izzard playing central character there seems to be no limit for fun and spontaneous hilarity.
With casting problem being resolved, the production for the same is expected to kick-start soon. And I think most of the Izzard followers would be glad if they get to watch the show this winter.
Let’s hope for an early blast of comedy, for a classic that once forced the audiences roll on floor and laugh.
